Trees in Fairmilehead Park
Woke up to a bit of dampness, but looking at the forecast for today, not going to be hissing it down all day. A bit of dampness on the morning daunder around the park. Looks like a mobility scooter has already been across the grass.
Got home to a a request to fix the printer attached to the downstairs computer. This was very strange as it has been working all week. Seems to be a usb driver problem as unplugging the usb cable, restarting the computer several times and cursing in it's general direction didn't result in it working. Went to my big computer, and that printer, a large Canon photo printer wasn't working either, and the share seems to have disappeared. After removing the device from the computer, and reinstalling the driver on my big computer, the printer did reappear, although still not for sharing. I went and did the same thing on the downstair computer, and it reluctantly decided to work. As all this messed up with the chores I was going to do, I decided to get the old Canon G9 and Canon G1 X (mark 1) out of boxes to see if they still worked. They did.
After lunch a dry walk down to get weekend groceries. It got rather dark, and seem to threaten rain. But no rain was forthcoming. Didn't take long to get the groceries. And there was even a hint of brightness in the sky for a few minutes. As the two computers I worked on this morning were rather temperamental, I decided to update the BIOS on my big computer just for a bit of a lark.
Quiet evening, watching the rather entertaining but naff Blankety Blank, then the 1% Club. Despite the intellectual differences between the two shows, I think you are more likely to win the top prize on the 1% Club, than you are the top 'prize' on Blankety Blank. Then we watched the next episode of Bergerac before heading to bed.
