Hoggs home….
Cattle all fed then headed off down the road with the land rover and trailer. Met up with Ian and his collie Hope to gather the 145 blackie hoggs and haul them home. Managed them in 3 loads . Dropped each load off at wee brother’s. He gave them their vaccines and then hauled them round to two sheds. We shut them in for a couple of weeks until they learn to eat sheep feed. This means that when they are being fed ewe rolls up on the hill they will know what to do with them.
The cow N19 that I couldn’t find the calf for this morning has obviously remembered where she stashed it as they were both heading away across the field at speed tonight when they heard me coming on the quad bike !
