MYSTIC

Becky and Mike went for a short run first thing before we had breakfast in our accommodation.  Then we walked into Mystic to get coffees. The weather was dry and sunny but there was a chill wind at times. 

Had a wander around the town and looked in most of the shops.. I bought a knotwork coaster and a pair of earrings.

Back to the house where Astrid and me had snacks. Becky and Mike went out again for a drink and food in a local pub. Then Mike took Astrid to a nearby children's playground where she enjoyed going down the huge slide. 

Later on we all went out for an evening meal to The Mariner fish restaurant.  I had swordfish with sweet potato and brocoli. Then we went to an ice cream parlour where we sat inside and enjoyed our ices. Mine was a butter pecan cornet.

Ive enjoyed staying in Mystic as its a lovely place.  Main blip shot shows The Mariner, the main street in the evening and the Mystic River Bridge...... which is a drawbridge.  Extra shot shows a view of the river, a fire /rescue boat and the knotwork shop.

We leave Mystic tomorrow (Monday) to drive back up to Boston to catch an evening flight to Heathrow arriving on Tuesday morning.
