Linnet

The glorious weather continues! A blue sky day to start the week!

Up early today as Mum and Dad were off on a coach holiday to the Cotswolds so were picked up at silly o'clock!  So I decided it was a good time to take a wander to the nature reserve and I was very much rewarded for doing so! One of those days when the birds are all singing constantly and showing really nicely - including this lovely Linnet who didn't mind me getting close!  Also saw Wheatear, Yellow Wagtail, Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Bunting, Greater Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Goldfinch, Cetti's Warbler, swallows, Chaffinch, Great Tit, Blue tit, Robins, Song Thrush, Skylark and more! - and also had some close encounters as a baby blue tit flew right past my nose, and then a Kestrel swooped close to my head on my walk home!  If only every birdwatching visit was like that!
