Little Birdwatchers

Another fabulous holiday day.
A scrummy fry up (with two kinds of eggs!) followed by an outing to the RSPB reserve at Minsmere.
The kids loved their backpacks full of binoculars, magnifying glasses, bird and animal spotting checklists and specimen jars.
They did pond dipping and caught newt tadpoles, mayfly nymphs, dragonfly nymphs, beetles, snails, water boatmen and lots of other wriggly things.
They spotted ducks and geese and herons from one of the hides.
They climbed trees, caught ladybirds and grasshoppers, built dens, ran around and bought squidgy toys from the shop.
And when we got back to the house they ran around in the garden - having races orchestrated by Mr K. He missed his calling - they loved it!
Then the grown ups had a barbecue while half the children slept and the other half screamed with laughter at Mickey's Christmas.
Guess which half the Little Misses were in?!
