For the family

Some techniques change over time

At lunchtime R called in past on her way back from a physio appointment. It was good to see her, but she does look so tired and has lost weight. We had a bit of a catch up and planned when we will get together this week.

I then went to U3A craft meeting clutching a very large bag of bits and pieces to share with the ladies, the stuff that I no longer need but it’s too good to put in the bin.

It was interesting to see one of ladies making a necklace thing. When I was a child I would use an empty wooden cotton reel with nails in the top to make a “rats tail” through the hole in the middle. You wrapped wool round the nails and used a bigger nail to hook the loops over the edge.

These days you can buy a plastic kit to do the job.
