Lovely lilac

Sunny from the off today. Pilates this morning in T shirts and then a stroll on to Woodbank for lunch with my friend for the last time for about a month as she is off to visit family in Canada.

This lovely deep purple lilac overhangs our drive but actually belongs to our neighbour. There was a pale mauve
lilac one on the border between us and our then neighbours when we moved in but it came down with a late heavy April snow many years ago now. We also inadvertently brought a white lilac with us from our previous house in 1983 and it lived and flowered until a couple of years ago. I do like the white ones.

Just been back up to the village Pharmacy for my prescription and it’s really warm. How lovely for late April.
