Magnolia soulangeana

With the impending arrival of "No Mow May" I have managed over the last two days to cut our own grass and Amber Nook's as well.  On an internet forum I am a member of one person mentioned No Mow May and said he was looking forward to "cheap lawnmower broken down June".

The blip is another in my series following the growth of Magnolia buds.  It surprises me how far behind our tree is.  When we were on Solace at the end of March trees beside the Staffs and Worcs canal were in full flower.  I have seen local trees open much sooner thn ours.
