Green Alkanet ( Pentaglottis sempervirens )

Well I hope it is Green Alkanet, that's what my app says it is.  It is a plant that has puzzled me for while.  At first we had Comfrey growing there and we took it out.  A while after this appeared and the flowers were similar so we thought perhaps a young Comfrey growing either from seeds dropped or an underground root/rhizome etc.  Then we suspected Borage but it wasn't right for the flower shape.  Finally this year I have tried my app on it and Green Alkanet was the suggestion.  If you know otherwise do tell me.

It seems Green Alkanet is native to south western Europe.  If it is green alkanet it is a single species within the genus Pentaglottis.  However if it wasn't for the fact it is only half the height of the Comfrey we took out I would say it was Comfrey.  Puzzled I am.
