Getting It Taped For Cordoned-Off Sunshine
Today's image was taken on another lone local photographic safari. There had been leaden skies all day despite the weather forecast at the start of the week promising wall to wall sunshine and blue skies. I find it quite difficult to get motivated to go outside and get an image when the conditions are like this but just as the clock struck 6 pm there was suddenly a burst of early evening sunlight so I put on an extra layer (it had been chilly all day) and decided to head out.
I did one of my usual circuitous walks through the grounds of Preston Hall and back through the gloriously 'picturesque' surroundings of our local supermarket car park, where I have managed to get a surprisingly large number of images for my blip journal.
On this occasion my eye was caught by the warning tape cordoning-off a damaged shopping trolley bay and I just caught it as it flickered in the breeze and the low sun bounced off it creating a golden glow and casting the foreground into shadow, with what I saw as a pleasingly abstract result!
