Bridge Shadows

The is near the center of downtown Northampton, as Bridge Street passes under the railroad bridge (upper left) and the pedestrian/bicycle bridge (out of sight above us), which is casting the late afternoon shadows (it's 17:52 by my camera's clock).

I believe the name Bridge Street derives not from either one of these bridges, but rather the Coolidge Bridge less than a mile further east which spans the Connecticut River; it is named for President Calvin Coolidge, who lived in Northampton for much of his life and whose modest presidential library occupies a small part of our town library.
