Ravenglass

We managed to get away before 8 am. We drove in convoy, with Alfie and Liv following D, Poppy and I. It was a fairly steady journey North with no major hold ups. We stopped a couple of times for breakfast and to give the dog a wee break. We arrived at our air b n b in Ravenglass just after 2pm. Luckily the house was ready and there was no one here so we let ourselves in . We’d planned a walk to Muncaster Castle but everyone was tired and we had to be back for the food delivery so we just had a walk round the village, along the beach and then a drink in The Ratty Arms. It was glorious; warm and sunny. So unlike normal Lake District weather! D made spag bol for dinner then we took Dotty for another walk along the beach as the sun was setting. It was still warm and the tide was out. Absolutely gorgeous.
Back at the house now for a bottle of wine and a rest. Hopefully we’ll all sleep well tonight.
