Voar Redd Up Collections

A beautiful calm and sunny morning, arrived in Lerwick, misty!  The mist burned off, sunny by lunchtime.  Clouded over this evening, windy too.

A day working with Steve.  We've been on litter bins, dog bins and voar redd up collections.  Walkies with Sammy after work.  Another evening in the peat hill.  I've made a start to casting my peats.  A cuppa and feet up now.

Shetland has seen it's annual Voar Redd Up, the big spring clean.  Volunteers across the isles clean along roads, ditches and beaches.  It must be coming on to it's 40th year, thousands of tonnes of bruck disposed of safely.  I've not managed to do any beach or road cleans yet, but will get round to it.  This was one collection point we picked up from, a good haul of mostly sea waste.  Taken at Sundibanks, Scalloway.
