A windy morning, dull and showers.  Sunshine in the afternoon and evening, still windy and the odd late shower.

A day working with Dan, one of the summer students.  We collected bulk waste from Lerwick and Waas first thing, then bulk Voar Redd Up collections the rest of the day.  A swollen knee this evening, so kept walkies to a minimum, and leg up all night.  Mam and Megan popped by for a cuppa. 

The Voar Redd Up volunteers really have done a marvellous job around the isles.  We were picking up bulky items that couldn't fit in the essykert, or roads that weren't suitable for the large vehicle to go down.  Collections from Mossbank, Hillswick, Urafirth, Heylor, Aith, Twatt, Waas and Sandsound.  This huge pile really has made an odds, especially getting that nets away from the wildlife.  Taken at Heylor, Northmavine.
