Delayed Colomba

My wife has been looking out for a Colomba - an Italian bread not unlike pannetone but shaped into a (styalised) dove for Easter. She’d hoped to get one for me in time for Easter

With our son’s help she did eventually get one and I was. Presented with it at breakfast. Everyone tucked in.

The mic of candied peel and nuts was very enjoyable and set me up for the day. I took her to an early appointment, did a quick shop, popped into the church and settled down with the laptop in the garden. It was a still warm bright and slightly humid day.

I had to go indoors for an hour’s teams call with the Project Trust charity and then more time with the laptop in the garden. I eventually has a snooze in the sunshine followed by some weeding and then a BBQ. It felt warm enough to eat outdoor (though we didn’t). Just a lovely day.
