Chester FC 2 Buxton 1 (after extra time)

In an extremely tense game Chester got through their play-off eliminator with a 2-1 victory over Buxton. Iwan Murray put Chester ahead in the 3rd minute but Buxton equalised 15 minutes later and the rest of the 90 minutes was stalemate so the game went into extra time.

The winning goal came from Harrison Burke  in the 108th minute and the final ten minutes were incredibly nerve wracking. How the referee managed to find four minutes of injury time in a half that only lasted 15 minutes is beyond me. The atmosphere in the ground was tremendous and it was great to see Chester finally win a game in the play-offs.

Chester now travel to Kidderminster on Sunday to win a place in the final against either Scunthorpe or Chorley.
