Horse chestnut spike
What a hot day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner outside on 1st May, enjoyable but concerning in equal measure.
Two more trips to the tip this morning taking the of garden waste from Doreen’s place to 16, admittedly they were only half full but that’s a huge amount of vegetation to shift brought about by the tenants neglecting their responsibilities. The gardeners did a grand job, now we have to hope we get the cost back from their deposit.
Various other jobs ticked off this afternoon including setting up the watering system for when we’re in Cumbria. Always a challenge, it was a relief when it came on at 7.30pm. I also cut the and edged the grass. I know it’s no mow May, if we’d been here we would let it grow.
The horse chestnuts in Mote Park are putting on a fine show this spring. Such impressive and intricate spikes.
