Clematis Montana grandiflora

grows round the corner in a shady spot but only the top flowers where it gets the sun, not a very good spot for it.

Well today we took the car in, went early because the bus home (Selby to Leeds)  only runs every hour so we wanted to catch the 9.34. This garage is in converted farm buildings so quite out of the way, we got there at about 8,30  checked the car in, had a cuppa, then set off for the bus at about 8.50 because we had a good three quarters of a mile to walk down this country lane to the main road and then to the bus stop. It was a lovely walk but very warm. We got to the bus stop in time, not long to wait, the bus takes about half an hour to Garforth, where we got off then waited for our bus to Kippax,  we got home about 10,40. The journey by car takes about 20 mins.
Then we waited for a call to say it was ready to collect,  but as the afternoon wore on no call, and the last bus we could catch back was at 3.50 as they close at 5pm. so about 3.30 Paula rang and the receptionist said the mechanic was just about tearing his hair out as he couldn't get something to work, so she decided to leave it till tomorrow and we will hopefully pick it up then. (we think it may be the cigarette lighter, it didn't work and Paula has a machine for blowing up the tyres which works by plugging it into the cigarette lighter plug)

Also Paula was waiting for a phone call between 1pm and 4.30pm from the clinician at the practice for a review on some of her medication on her repeat prescription, he never rang.

I spent a little time in the greenhouse when it got a bit cooler in there, otherwise spent most of the day  just waiting around Paula did say I think we will get a taxi back to the garage it will save a lot of hassle with busses.

MAY has certainly come in like a lamb.
The guy on the TV said it's No Mow May let the grass and weeds grow it helps the bees, butterflies and other insects. Sounds good to me
