What do you see?

Last night a tooth fell out. I can see the dentist in 2 weeks.

We woke to very depressing council election results with Reform on the rampage.

Bathroom Chris (who votes Reform) was here at 9.15 and got the tiles cleaned up after the grouting of yesterday and had just started putting in the shower when he had to go. Nursery said the baby wasn’t well so had to go home. (I liked the shapes of the drips of grouting before he wiped them off. They look like delicate trees I thought.)

Ailie came at 10 and we went to Cragside. I walked along both lakes and part of the way back to the car on the road but had to have a sit down while she got the car. She came in for lunch. I had some peppered mackerel pate I’d made so we had that on sourdough toast with cucumber. She encouraged me to phone the surgery again which I did. I’m now on Tramadol. The GP was very nice and shares my frustration. (Another friend is encouraging me to go private but that is so against my principles I’d feel ashamed of myself).

I’ve made some couscous and added feta, pine nuts, sultanas, spring onions, sun-dried tomatoes and a bit of harissa. I’ll roast the peppers I had in the fridge and fill them with the couscous mixture for tonight. We are watching an old Cracker series - Robbie Coltrane.
