A view from St Swithin

Over the hill to the Bonnie Bonnie Banks

Today we walked from Drymen to Rowardenan. The weather gods were in our favour again and it stayed dry with some lovely sunny intervals.
The Blip is of the Chief on top of Conic Hill which gives fantastic views North along Loch Lommond. The hill was busy and we did not enjoy the descent on a man made stone staircase down to Balmaha on the shore of the loch. After lunch we headed north to Rowardenan along the east side of the loch. It’s a lovely walk (mainly in woods) but with steep climbs to keep you on your toes and we were glad to reach our hotel. About 15 miles and 8 hours walking.
