Lodden Lily..

… Purity and Renewal/Hope. That’s nice isn’t it? In Oxfordshire we saw many and have tried to encourage them here in Derbyshire. (Winning, in a small way).

I have had a lovely day (despite a slightly longer train journey home than planned.. The traffic was so heavy that I had to be dropped off at a different station so that children could be picked up from school without a stressful wait).

I tried to treat my favourite person, for her birthday. She chose a (albeit sweet but incredibly frugal) box of safety pins* which, in the mayhem and panic of the unscheduled drop-off, I managed to bring home with me!
But we ‘did’ the book shops together (the ones I usually only see photos of) which was sheer delight. Neither of us bought anything (amazingly).

The wine forecast is proving clear and bright.
