Rust and Roosts
We had another very windy day with some sun and lots of rain showers. We also walked along a cliff edge where the wind was more significant!
My extra is the cliff highlight with 100s or 1000s of Awks and Guillemots roosting precariously on little ledges. If you look closely you may see little fuzzy dots, which I assure you are birds.
My Blip is a 'What is that?' moment. When we arrived at the Bay of Marwick there was a big rusty Thing on the beach, presumably from a shipwreck or from an alien space ship. It turns out that it has been rusting there for over 100 years, and is a ship's boiler. The big pebbles around the spikes filled the base of the boiler couresy of the stormy sea. Excellent rusting though.
