Along the Creek
Our day flew by. My sister decided her rain barrel needed another row of sunflowers. That was a main job for her this morning. I made turkey salad after picking the bird clean. Hubby packed our car before tomorrow’s rain arrives. Our BIL did several small jobs prepping for our trip home. We had lunch, and then went to the creek so I could photograph wildflowers. I hope you enjoy the ones I chose to share. They are so much prettier in person. After showers, we headed to town. First stop was Lowe’s. The microwave stopped working a few days ago. Our new one is in the truck. We had a recommendation for a new restaurant in Wheeling, Uncle Pete’s. Judging from the crowd, it must be good. From here we are going to the Strand Theater to hear Thunderbeard, a ZZTop tribute band. We’ll get groceries for our pantry on the way home to be ready for our return visit in a few weeks. Another fine day in WV. Wishing you a weekend as nice. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit. “As a farm girl, even when I was quite young, I had my 'farm chores' - but I had time also to be alone, to explore the fields, woods and creek side. And to read.” - Joyce Carol Oates
