Peony

We had the full complement for coffee this morning, including Dan and Tobi's dog, Trixie. Dana came by and Bob arrived late having gotten hung up in tree trimming traffic, bringing with him two baseball mitts. Rather incongruous, but he and john repaired to the parking lot to play catch. Perhaps, being a doctor,  he was doing an assessment of some sort on John.  He was pronounced  'still an athlete'.

We left with Dana to go to the flower nursery where I took this peony picture. I love them and they had quite a selection of unusual colors. Huge clematis flowers in extras. We brought home several different flowers for the garden which will probably be photographed in due course.

Kamala Harris gave a strong speech yesterday, joining her voice with that of Pritzker, Bernie Sanders , AOC and Cory Booker in speaking out about the unlawful government takeover. Voices are being raised at last.

The neighbors are coming over for drinks and I'm hoping it will still be warm enough to sit outside for awhile.
