Bella and David's bathroom

For ages we have been hunting for a picture to hang above the bed in our spare room. Today we discovered that the perfect painting to fill the gap has recently been added to Bella and David's guest bathroom! We are now wondering how we can persuade the artist - Bella herself - to paint a similar canvas for us...

We called in on our friends on our way to Northumberland this afternoon. We have travelled to Haltwhistle for the annual walking festival, and are now staying in a lovely AirBnB in the town. 

It's good to be here after a rather frantic day. I went from the Edinburgh Coffee Morning to pilates (with stand-in teacher Rachel), home for last minute packing and lunch, then walked to campus for a meeting with Bruce and David B (with some bonus chat with Rachel and Frances). Meanwhile poor Mr hazelh spent much time dealing with a broken hot tap that was impossible to turn off.

Exercise today: 30 minutes on the exercise bike; pilates class; walking (21,340 steps).
