From the garden.
The Feast Day of St Philip the Apostle and Saint James the Less. St James is thought to be the brother of Lord Jesus Our Saviour.
If Pope Francis had not died, on 21st April 2025, then on 27th April, Blessed Carlo Acutis was going to be canonised, that is, declared a holy Saint, Patron Saint of the Internet. It is Blessed Carlo Acutis' birth date today. He would have been 34 years old.
Here in Rishton, it is currently blue skied and 20.9c indoors. We are blessed with warmth and dazzling sunshine.
It has been a quiet Saturday with normal routines, nothing to really complain about nor anything remarkable. We forgot to put the grey bin out, with it being a Bank Holiday weekend, so Paul drove to The Recycling Centre.
Later he did food shopping.
The cats are here and contentedly napping.
The ginger and white Star cat, has visited twice today at meal times and continues to be delightful. I fed her Dentabites. My worry is the blackbird visitors. I spoke kindly to Star and asked her not to eat any birds. Who knows how or if cats process human words or language. She is kind natured and attentive. Holly seems accepting of her visiting our garden while tom cat Hunter, is a little more uninviting because perhaps he sees Star as a more robust older cat.
The peat free soil is a concern as well. It dries out very quickly. It is so disappointing when the weather is a mix of unpredictable contrasting conditions. I do my best to keep an eye on the plant 's hydration. The seedlings are doing their best.
Thank you for kind comments and stars. Enjoy Saturday blip friends.
