Cheers!
Steampunk today in Haworth and our ATN choir were singing in front of the Black Bull in ion the Main Street.. Our first outing of the year apart from one in Harrogate at Easter.
As usual there were lots of great sights but I particularly liked these two cheery ladies sat outside The Fleece as we were leaving.
We had a very a very good sing and an appreciative audience but of course we had all the usual interruptions from cars going up and down the narrow cobbled street. It had felt a bit cool this mornng with quite a bit of cloud so I’d put on extra layers, but of course the sun came out and we were singing in full sun so I was roasted!
It’s a really fun event and some people go to a lot on trouble with their outfits. The extra shows a bike that drove down the hill whilst we were singing with both the driver and his bike in full regalia, he got a spontaneous round of applause, and a guy when we arrived wearing high platform heels, striped to match his trousers. From the sublime to the ridiculous!
Great event for Silly Saturday and a big change from bluebells!
