Kaleidoscope

Too hot for me still...

I've got a response from the Co-op bank on all their shenanigans recently, when I was unable to contact them because I didn't have an online account with them, and my missing statements, et cetera et cetera. Their response is extremely unsatisfactory in many ways. They will only accept a voice call from the account holder themselves when there are some problems like this. They don't accept TextRelay for problems like this because of security of a third party, despite all the claims they make on their site for helping deaf people. The fact that the account holder is deaf and is unable to make a voice call due to hearing problems, cuts no ice with them. They say that is the law, a voice call is needed for security.

They suggest my daughter in Australia fills in a PDF so that she takes over my affairs and contacts them on my behalf. I am deaf, not incompetent. When I read what my daughter was meant to fill in on this PDF about her financial affairs about her job about her employer about her tax and details, length of time she had worked, and much more details, there is no way I would even allow my daughter to fill in this form.

And so I am taking this further now...

More time wasting on bureaucracy....

When I first moved here in early 2000's, there was no email for hospitals or doctors, et cetera. It was all telephone calls and I and other deaf people wasn't able to use them. So with .the aid of my advocate we campaigned with people and finally they put an email contact on all Hospital forms for deaf people. Brilliant, I thought. Until I came to use them and they had taken them off all the hospital forms and appointments and there was no way for me to contact anyone in the nhs again as regards to NHS and medical stuff.

A report has just been published about lack of accessibility in healthcare for deaf people in Wales. Nothing ever changes.

My kaleidoscope for today...my creative, is from the rosemary plant photo of yesterday.

ALT text description (this is for blind or partial sighted people and goes within the photo on some sites where I can post...)
"A kaleidoscopic pattern created from a close-up photo of a rosemary plant in bloom. Delicate, pale purple flowers with thread-like petals radiate from vivid green stems, arranged in symmetrical triangular shapes that repeat across the image. In the background, earthy browns and shadowy purples form a subtle starburst pattern, giving the whole image a layered, almost stained-glass effect. The green stems form heart-like and arrowhead shapes, adding a geometric rhythm to the natural elements."

I hope your day works out for you. I just sat on inside of the very warm side of the window and slept....and slept....

There is a second Kaleidoscope in extras
And the ALT text would be.
A black-and-white kaleidoscopic pattern based on a hand-drawn illustration by myself. The image features repeated figures of my10-year-old self who loves books. Bold shapes and expressive eyes form a symmetrical, mandala-like design. The overlapping forms create a busy, energetic composition with a sense of childhood imagination and creativity at its core.
