Celebration of life

Early romp through Newbattle with the boys as I was heading to the funeral of our doggy daycare lady with two of my doggy mum friends. Much cooler today and there was even a five minute shower.

I got changed to head to the funeral and we had decided to wear summer dresses as Susan was a colourful person. Well we certainly stood out as everyone else was in black.

It was a lovely if emotional service. She had led such an interesting life and was obviously well loved by her many family and friends present.

Mr PHL dropped us off at her local pub for the wake and we spent the afternoon reminiscing and chatting with the family and friends. We signed the memory book and enjoyed the photo book of Susan on through the years.

We did indulge in a few glasses of wine so I was very grateful for a lift home where I scoffed bacon and egg sandwiches before an early night.
