Sunny Saturday

We popped up to Petersfield this morning to get a bit of shopping and so Andy could collect his watch which has been in for a repair. Merlin came with us and so after a quick visit to the shopping area, we walked around the heath which has a lake at its centre. In the lake there are platforms for ducks and other birds to shelter on. It was sunny and warm so lots of people were out taking exercise or sitting around the water enjoying the view and the beautiful morning.

This afternoon I’ve been working in the garden - tiding up the hedge and planting some lettuce into the raised beds. I also walked to the allotment to pick some rhubarb. It’s due to be cold for the next three nights so this evening I’ve brought any tender seedlings into the house and fleeced up a few other plants in the garden. It’s been so warm I think the much cooler weather will be a bit of a shock to them.

Andy made a tasty curry for dinner.
