Everyday Life

Jesse

It was the second day of the History Festival today and there was more things on in town. We went into town itself this time rather than up to the castle. It was cold, breezy and cloudy today with intermittent spots of rain, so not as pleasant as yesterday.

We saw more craft demos and had a look round a market where I could have spent a fortune had I had one to spend.

The owl sanctuary were there with some of their lovely charges. All the rescued owls are quite friendly and happy to have their soft chest feathers stroked.

This is 30 year old Jesse, a long eared owl. He is gorgeous.

We will be going to visit Jeri and the gang tomorrow. Grace already has plans and can't go, but I did have a good phone chat with her earlier.

We're watching more rugby league from Magic Weekend, Huddersfield just beat Hull FC to get their first win of the season. Our match is next, against Warrington Wolves.
