A day in the life

I was working at the theatre today, the municipal music school were performing one of several performances of group-exams for the term before summer. Tonight was the dance and drill-girls performing their show for parents and friends. It's an extremely important event for the participants, and their parents, and the theatre were fully booked for two whole shows.

I wanted to have a proper lunch before the first show, my working hours was between one to seven in the afternoon so I left early to be able to go somewhere to eat. I set up and twenty to twelve, that should give me plenty of time. But, there was and accident on the bridge, due to the hard storm hitting us during a few hours at mid-day. A trailer after a car had simply blown off the road into the railing of the bridge and was smashed to pieces. I sat still in my car in the queue for nearly an hour and by then there was no time for a proper dinner. I just had time to grab a sandwich at a café to eat it at the theatre. So much for the peaceful meal I had imagined. The shows were brilliant though and the kids were so proud, maybe more than their parents in the audience.

After the job, I went to my friends on the island for a late dinner and some nice together-time. A very pleasant end of a hectic day.

Home again, I watched the last episode of "The Residence" on Netflix, a clever and very funny murder story in the White house, I can warmly recommend it, should you share my sense of humour.
