Winsford

Today was a very different day, both for location and weather.

Winsford is a pretty little village within Exmoor National Park with some “chocolate box” cottages set around a meandering stream. This is the view I chose for today’s painting (extra). I struggled a bit as I was using paper I’d never painted on before which I inherited from Dad in 2011! Apparently the sizing used on this type of paper can “expire” making it very absorbent which causes it to be a bit patchy … there again it could be a case of “a bad workman blames his tools”!

As to the weather, it was a far more pleasant day for sitting out in the sun, though did get a bit chilly in the shade. All in all it was another good day.
