Portuguese Mother's Day
Took photos of the Mother's Day celebrations in church this morning - everyone going up to the front to place their homegrown flowers, mostly roses, for Our Lady, in big tubs.
Adega, and then had lunch at Helder and Isabel's place, as decided not to go to Sem Fim tonight. Instead, made a large apple tart, and took it to Bengt's for Gunilla's annual garden party tomorrow - SO sorry to miss it, but we have better things to do.
Gratefuls:
- getting some pruning done in the garden, chopped the rose in my photo by mistake, but loved when the sunlight hit it; that's my ancient recipe book behind it
- the rose-tinted clouds across the sky this evening
- our family having the wherewithal to make a friend feel loved and happy
