Lustre-Glo Pty. Ltd.
Today I donned the new walking boots in an effort to break them in and walked to nearby Sydenham. This suburb has for a long time been home to a lot of light industries, many of which remain. Some of them operate out of buildings in the art deco style which in Australia had its hey day from the late 1920s to the early 1950s.
Lustre-Glo, a car body shop and panel beaters, has functioned for over 50 years as a father, then son, business. Like the other art deco factory buildings in Sydenham, it is an austere version. I'm glad it's still going, apparently uninterrupted, serving drivers who have pranged their cars or just want to give them a bit of a face lift.
It was a beautiful day with strong light and shadow which I like for a mono.
Thanks for hosting Don. I hope you enjoy it for May.
