The Spanish City...

...a vintage building in Whitley Bay...
...and a ghost soldier, very appropriate for VE Day...

Opened in 1909, and originally housing shops, cafes, a roof garden and a theatre - but I remember it as a funfair and amusements!

The Dome is a Grade ll listed building, and it's lovely to see it all thriving again after a protracted period of disrepair from 1990 to 2010.

We caught the Metro along to Whitley Bay for coffee in the Spanish City this aft, and walked back along the front - sunny but a chilly wind!
