Evening light on cow parsley
Today was a bit like yesterday. Got up, did a jigsaw in the dining room for a couple of hours, felt rotten and went back to bed. But I did take the jigsaw with me, and eventually finished it. I chose it for the technical
challenge (it was a Springbok:confusingly, made in the US, not SA) and the picture wasn’t great, so I won’t blip it.
Watched a few episodes of random stuff, and slept a bit. I was aware that the VE Day celebrations had started in London. My parents were brought up in India, and I spent my formative years in Dublin . My history teacher was obsessed with Napoleon, so was a bit late to the VE Day party (I wasn’t born then). The Radio Times has gone full-out for the celebrations. I haven’t been to downtown Stroud for almost a week, so I wonder if the flags will be out. Stroud prefers royalty to wartime remembrances, I’d guess, judging by previous occasions.
I did eventually get up again for supper (I’d got up for lunch too, there’s a pattern here) preceded by a shower. I’ve gone back to bed now with a different puzzle and boxset, but that’s partly because the evening sun is shining in thr bedroom.
