Child Labour and a miniature Black Panther

With the dry weather we need to keep up with the watering at the graves, especially as the soil is very heavy with clay and stones. In the grave, small, flower beds I picked out the stones after F.M.i.L. was laid to rest (January 2024) and just replanted the aubretia. A month or so ago I planted some other flowers, particularly Geraniums which I like a lot, but hadn't been to water for over a week. So, with three willing helpers in tow, including Ziggy, we set off this morning to tidy and water. I also took half a bag of home made compost, from our compost bin of course, to cover the poor soil and to keep moisture in for a little longer.
Ziggy is at my Father in Law's grave, and FMiL now, but it is my Father in Law that he is named after. RAF Sergeant Peter 'Ziggy' Zegveld. He is of Dutch origin hence the surname.
The girls were a big help, filling (sort of) the watering can while I was tidying and compost spreading.
And the bottom photo is our resident miniature Black Panther, Meg. She came to us on Friday and will go home on Wednesday. Peace and harmony in the house as Meg and Ziggy have come to an understanding and tolerate each other, I think that's as far as it goes!
