Beach scene

A sunny but cooler day.  I popped in the morning to visit a garden centre as I was keen to get hold of some strawberry plants.  I arrived soon after they opened but couldn't find any.  So I wandered around choosing a few other vegetables but then when I was about to leave I spotted some strawberry flowers in the area where I had first been.  They had just arrived so I happily chose a few trays.  I returned home via a supermarket late morning and then met up with a friend after lunch.  By now the wind had picked up which cooled things down.  We walked to the beach taking various detours to deliver some magazines.  We returned via the high street where VE Day celebrations were taking place, see extras.

Good to catch up with my friend as we have both been fairly busy recently.  A chat with our son in the evening who took part in a fitness event involving lots of running interspersed with various exercises.  It was the first time he had done this and he was feeling fairly exhausted.  The most strenuous thing for him was burpee broad jumps which I had not heard of and could never do.
