Spring flowers
Helen gave me a hand this morning, planting and watering some seedlings. The ground is incredibly dry under the surface so needed a good soaking.
We all went to Brigsteer Woods for a stroll. It was quite chilly in the wind and we walked briskly. The water was quiet, just a few dab chicks and ducks. The flowers are delightful there, we saw Early Purple Orchids, and loads of wild garlic.
I collected some raw milk from Sizergh. The cows are out at grass now, and the milk had a good head of cream by the time I got it home. And so I am going to try making blipper Mima’s Orkney cheese recipe. It’s a several day process. This evening I set the milk, cut the curds and hung it up to drain overnight. Exciting!
