RHS Bridgewater Garden

One of Helen’s ambitions has been to visit the new RHS Bridgewater Gardens, and today seemed the ideal opportunity. Rob kindly looked after Bonnie, and we set off. We arrived shortly after opening time, and it was lovely and quiet as we made our way slowly to the Paradise Garden. This was looking delightful, a sea of pale blues, with pops of purple and yellow. As we arrived at the coffee shop it was getting more busy, but no trouble getting coffee and cakes!
We had a wander through the orchard with its beehives and hens, before heading over to the Chinese Garden. Now this has really developed since I last visited, and is delightful with its Acers, primulas, and trickling stream. We walked around the lake, then back through the Chinese in the opposite direction. The light through the trees was perfect.
Another look into the walled garden, then we felt we had had enough!
It really is worth a visit now, and I hope to go again with Rob, perhaps in the autumn. I wonder if they might be letting dogs in by then….
