Bearded Iris
I had a pretty restful day. When I went out to check my gardens, I weeded a bit. This bearded iris is down to its last bloom so I decided to blip it today. Several varieties have finished blooming. Hubby worked on his last two weeks’ financial documents. I looked at several of your journals but still have more. Hubby shopped for needed groceries. As I was making the pot pie for my mother and BIL, my sister and her hubby stopped by. They brought my produce from WV and I gave them cabbage, etc. Hubby mowed the lawn. Some of our grass had grown almost a foot while we were gone. It looks great now. We had a quick sandwich. As soon as the pie was baked, we headed to my sister’s. Our mother was alone since our BIL had two oncologist appointments today. They had anticipated them being brief and told us there was no need to stay with our mother while he was gone. I was glad we visited and so was my mother. We chatted a while, I made her a big lunch and fresh coffee. By then it was time for us to head to Parker’s last school lacrosse game for the season. They are playing their main contender for the tri-county championship. It’s half time and we are tied 6-6; the game is quite exciting. I have changed the score six times while writing this. We are supposed to be in the middle of a severe thunderstorm so I am not sure we will get the entire game in. Wishing you sunny weather. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “In a field of daisies, be an iris that stands out with its unique beauty.” - successfulspirit.com
