Cookham

We decided to spend the morning exploring Cookham before driving along the Thames a little further to Maidenhead. 
We had a beautiful walk along the Thames before crossing the bridge and returning to Cookham along the road. It's a beautiful village and there were many gorgeous riverside houses. 
We spotted this little cormorant sunbathing and further along there were loads of hawks (?) just swooping down above our heads. They appeared to be trying to get one of the many gulls that were around. 
Afterwards, we drove to Ray Mill Island and had another walk around. It really is a beautiful part of the country.  Finally, we found a John Lewis where we had a piece of cake and a cuppa before the long journey home.
