The Ancestors Village

In March, we visited my ancestral home of Kyle of Lochalsh and took in the magnificent views of the Clan Castle at Eilean Donan.

Today, we find ourselves at my man's ancestral home of Embleton. There was a discussion about whether you would want to own a beautiful village and bay or a castle. I know where my vote goes.

We walked from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle, then visited Warkworth and Amble.

We celebrated my boy's upcoming birthday at the fabulous Jaspers restaurant and came home for more games and nonsense. I may not be able to just sit and watch TV again!

The day started with a phone call from the painter back home, who couldn't get the door shut as the lock appeared jammed. He was mildly panicked. Thankfully, my sister was able to sort it out.
