Sgwarnog: In the Field

Banana

17yo and I had spent our bank holiday Monday in Skipton, and had just arrived back at the station to come home when the Flying Banana pulled in.  More formally known as the New Measurement Train, this unit travels back and forth on the UK rail network surveying the track for faults. I occasionally see it flying along, but never pulled up in a station, so I took the opportunity for a few photos.

Earlier, we had followed our usual Skipton routine, with the addition to a quick visit to the museum for an exhibition of WW2 poster art, timed to coincide with the VE Day anniversary.

In the woods, the Ramsons were rampant, and someone had the nice idea of adorning the willow archer with some of the flowers (extra).
