Fisty cuffs

These young males were clearly enjoying getting their claws into each other. They are not part of any of the couples on the pond so it seems were just bored and picking a fight.

At the other end of the water,  a large Canada goose patrolled around the nest where the female is sitting on eggs. The goslings are due any day. The male is very protective and it's impressive to see how he chases even the swans away from his patch.

It has been a bit warmer today, with beautiful sunshine in the afternoon.
