Sparrowhawk
Today on a very early walk I was delighted to see the female sparrowhawk who, together with her mate, has been absent from the reserve since spring last year. So here she is. The other excitement was a cuckoo who could be heard from the moment you went through the gate, and was singing from the look-out tree. There is a shot of it in extras, really just to remind me. It's stupidly distant, but if I had wanted to get closer I'd have had to swim the river with the camera strapped to my head!
The rest of the day's been same-old, though in one stupendous piece of stupidity I left half my shopping at the bus station and had to go back for it. *Sigh*. Nevermind, that idiocy is mercifully in the past.
Have a good evening, all xx
