Shading

Here is my Solomon’s Seal, planted a couple of years ago in a shady spot and doing well. It came from a plant sale at my neighbour’s Open Garden.

I was in bed early last night so up early this morning and it has been a beautiful day. I washed all the sofa covers, did lots of lawn mowing and read my book outside. I don’t really want to come in to cook the tea.

I had a long phone call with Sarah and Chris, who will be home in a week or so, and another with Luke, who will be here on Thursday .

D arrived home from Glasgow. He had got a space right at the front for the concert (standing only) and Joe had protected him all night from the audience surging forward and crowd surfing behind them. Joe said he was sore all over this morning. I asked D if he would go again and he said he definitely would!

Postscript- in the middle of cooking tea - the water suddenly went off. Apparently the farmer, in his attempt at draining the field, has hit a water main with his digger:-(
