Beauty is all around us.

Pigeon in the Red Oak tree.

The Feast Day of Saint Edbert. St Cuthbert died in 687 and St Edbert succeeded him as Bishop of Lindisfarne.

Today has been pleasant, warm, sunny and busy. 20.6c in the living room.

In the morning I went out to the shop for our Daily Mail and then I went to the Parish Church with foodbank items. I had an unexpected chat with a young lad who was looking for a place to volunteer. I suggested he have a chat with Father Eddie at Church. Father recently ran in the Manchester Marathon successfully, to raise money to repair the Church bell tower. Initially, K came along to meet the ladies who run the foodbank. He got on well with them and said he liked dogs and gardening. He said he was eager to spread kindness. He was a Catholic and before our local church was bulldozed last Summer, he attended regularly and went to the Catholic Primary school. I left him chatting in the church, and walked on to the woodland and park to take photos of the bluebells and trees.

In the afternoon, Paul and me shopped in Tesco in Great Harwood. Then we went to the Stonehill Garden Centre to buy calciworms for the garden birds, compost, thyme, sage and a new wall planter. The deliverer was taking plants out of his vehicle and the gardening centre was looking marvellous. I really enjoy walking around and seeing the vast diversity of fantastic plants, shrubs and trees.

Once home, I planted up the wall planter and Paul attached it up on the brick wall. It looks pretty.

I divided up the variegated Thyme and the Basil, from Tesco, provided several pots worth.

I have gradually collected a good few herb plants for our garden. Mint, Apple Mint, Oregano, Cat Mint, Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley, Chives and Coriander. They are all useful and smell lovely in the sunshine.

I spent an hour in the front garden, digging out moss and replenishing the old soil with new compost.
I planted seven London Pride plants and surrounded them with stones to deter the neighbourhood cats.
I was very happy with how they looked.

I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday blip friends.

Thank you for visiting my site today.
