Cuenca

No lounging about for us the morning. We set off from Valencia at about 9am and drove to Cuenca (just over a couple of hours). It’s inland and up in the hills, so there was quite the temperature drop (about 10° cooler) but oh my word what a gorgeous city! We had a brilliant day wandering around the old town, visiting all the sights, the Cathedral and the miradors (viewpoints). The hanging houses (casas colgados) are stunning but the San Pablo Bridge is rather vertiginous! Needless to say, we also enjoyed some great food. All in all, the perfect way to spend our 35th wedding anniversary.
